Production designer

Definition:

The production designer is responsible with the producer and then the director for bringing to the production all the necessary facilities to realise the production aspects of the film.

Role:

The production designer is responsible for location and studio management, art department (set & set design and construction), hair & make-up, camera and sound departments.
