Graphic editing
Definition:
Shots are cut together and make sense because of their use of elements such as colour, shape, light and dark or movement.
Uses:
Editing graphically can achieve even continuity or strong contrast between scenes. A graphic match is simply a graphic link between two shots that ties them together i.e. cutting between two characters who are completing the same action in different places.
Film clip:
Graphic editing is used to match action with a character's past.
