Definition:

Full-length feature films are expensive and require major finance deals. In Australia a film is generally financed via a mix of government and private sector finance.

How:

The government finances development of film through various state film offices, or federally through the Australian Film Commission, all of whom will fund the development of the script, or support producers in developing scripts.
